Several roadwork projects are scheduled in Camden County from February 16 to February 20, affecting multiple municipalities. The Camden County Department of Public Works announced that these activities will involve road closures and lane shifts.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
In Berlin Township, South Jersey Gas will close Franklin Avenue between Haddon Avenue and 3rd Avenue on February 17 and 18 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Work will also occur on Hopewell Road and Cooper Road from February 17 to February 19 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., resulting in full closures of Hopewell Road between Cooper Road and Jackson Road in Waterford Township, as well as Cooper Road between Cushman Avenue and Hopewell Road in Berlin Township.
In Camden, PSE&G crews will work on Federal Street and River Avenue from February 17 to February 20, with lane shifts on Federal Street between River Avenue and 16th Street from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., along with a full closure of River Avenue between East State Street and Federal Street. Haddon Avenue will be fully closed between Newton Avenue and Euclid Avenue during the same period from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Market Street will see lane shifts between North 5th Street and North 6th Street from February 17 to February 20, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
PSE&G has additional work planned for Federal Street with full closures scheduled for February 18-19 from South 18th Street to South 19th Street (8 a.m.–4 p.m.). On Kaighn Avenue, there will be lane shifts at the intersection with North Park Drive in Pennsauken starting Wednesday through Friday; Thursday and Friday will include similar shifts at Vesper Boulevard in Camden.
In Collingswood, crews are scheduled on Park Avenue with lane shifts at North Park Drive in Pennsauken throughout the week (7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.), as well as at Vesper Boulevard in Camden later in the week.
West Branch Avenue in Pine Hill is set for partial eastbound closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road & Erial Road from Tuesday through Friday (7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.).
