Camden County announces roadwork projects scheduled for week of April 27

Several roadway projects are scheduled to take place across Camden County during the week of April 27 to May 1, according to a statement from county officials. The work will affect multiple municipalities and is expected to result in partial or full road closures at various locations.

The planned construction aims to maintain and improve local infrastructure, which is important for public safety and daily transportation. Camden County supports over 500,000 residents across 37 municipalities, according to the official website.

Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works, said, “Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations. Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Work will be carried out in several towns including Audubon (East Atlantic Avenue), Bellmawr (Kings Highway), Brooklawn (Kings Highway), Camden (Broadway, Haddon Avenue, Kaighn Avenue & Collings Avenue, Mt. Ephraim Avenue, River Avenue), Cherry Hill (Kresson Road), Collingswood (Park Avenue and Haddon Avenue), Gibbsboro (United States Avenue & Foster Avenue; Hilliards Road), Gloucester Township (Evesham Road), Oaklyn (Newton Avenue), Pennsauken (Browning Road), Pine Hill (West Branch Avenue), Runnemede (Evesham Road), Voorhees (White Horse Road) and Winslow Township (Mays Landing Road). Some roads will have lane shifts or partial closures while others will be fully closed during specific hours.

The Camden County Department of Public Works maintains over 1,200 miles of county roadway as well as more than 200 bridges and several dams. The department is located in Lindenwold with personnel on call around the clock.
