Several roadwork projects are scheduled to take place across Camden County during the week of December 15 to December 19, according to county officials.

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

In Berlin Township, South Jersey Gas will conduct work on Cooper Road from Monday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 18 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., resulting in a full road closure between Cushman Avenue and Hopewell Road.

In Camden City, PSE&G will work on Federal Street on Monday, Dec. 15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., causing a lane shift between South 35th Street and South 36th Street. Additional crews will close Haddon Avenue fully from Newton Avenue to Euclid Avenue each day from Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

PSE&G will also be active on Federal Street and River Avenue from Monday through Friday with lane shifts on Federal Street (between River Avenue and 16th Street) and a full closure of River Avenue (between East State Street and Federal Street) from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

On Haddon Avenue, another lane shift is expected between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cooper Plaza daily from Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Work by PSE&G on Mt. Ephraim Avenue will cause full closures between Carl Miller Boulevard and Ferry Avenue during the same weekday period from early morning until evening.

Other notable projects in Camden include lane shifts or closures on Baird Boulevard at Carman Street & Federal Street; Ferry Avenue (multiple segments); Market Street (North 8th to North 10th streets); as well as partial closures westbound near Phillips Street & South Ninth.

Collingswood’s Park Avenue will be closed entirely for both vehicles and pedestrians (sidewalks) from Dill Avenue to Ogden Avenue throughout the workweek during daytime hours.

In Haddon Township, West Park Avenue will be fully closed Thursday for utility work by PSE&G between Glenwood Ave & West Crystal Lake Ave from morning until mid-afternoon.

Haddonfield’s Kings Highway West faces partial westbound closure Thursday along Avondale Ave & Chews Landing Rd corridor during standard business hours.

Winslow Township’s Erial Road sees northbound partial closure at Sicklerville Road & Vista Court starting Monday morning into Tuesday afternoon next week.
