Several roadwork projects are scheduled in Camden County during the week of December 21 to December 26, according to county officials.

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

In Berlin Township, work will take place on Cooper Road on Monday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 23 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a full closure between Cushman Avenue and Hopewell Road.

In Camden, crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, December 22 through Wednesday, December 24 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., resulting in a full closure between Newton Avenue and Euclid Avenue. Additional work is planned for Federal Street and River Avenue on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (December 22, 23, and 26) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a lane shift on Federal Street between River Avenue and 16th Street as well as a full closure of River Avenue between East State Street and Federal Street.

In Winslow Township, Erial Road will have partial northbound closures between Sicklerville Road and Vista Court on Monday, December 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Camden County Department of Public Works maintains more than 1,200 miles of roadway along with bridges and dams throughout the county. The department handles various tasks such as highway construction projects, pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage maintenance. Staff are based in Lindenwold and are available around the clock for residents’ needs.
