Camden County announces weeklong roadwork schedule across multiple municipalities

Several road construction projects are scheduled across Camden County from December 8 to December 12, affecting multiple municipalities and key thoroughfares.

Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works, advised drivers: “Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations. Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

In Berlin Borough, Jackson Road will be fully closed between Route 73 and Pine Street on Friday, December 12 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

South Jersey Gas will conduct work in Berlin Township on Cooper Road from Monday, December 8 through Thursday, December 11 between Route 73 in Voorhees and East Taunton Road in Berlin Township. The road will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In Camden city, several projects are planned:
– Haddon Avenue will have a lane shift between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cooper Plaza from Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
– PSE&G crews will close Mt. Ephraim Avenue between Carl Miller Boulevard and Ferry Avenue each day.
– Additional work on Haddon Avenue will cause lane closures between Newton Avenue and Euclid Avenue.
– On Thursday, Ferry Ave westbound will have partial closure between South 9th Street and South 10th Street due to PSE&G work.
– Broadway will experience a lane shift on Thursday between Holtec Boulevard and Woodland Avenue.
– Westfield Avenue is set for full closure Friday between Rosedale Avenue and Beideman Avenue.

Collingswood’s Park Avenue is scheduled for full road and sidewalk closures from Wednesday through Friday between Dill Avenue and Ogden Avenue.

In Lindenwold, East Linden Avenue will be closed daily from Wednesday through Friday between Irving Avenue and Emerson Street.

Pennsauken’s Union Avenue faces full closure by PSE&G crews on Thursday and Friday between Cedar Avenue & Walnut Avenue.

Voorhees shares the Cooper Road project with Berlin Township; full closures are expected during the same period.

Winslow Township’s Erial Road northbound section—between Sicklerville Road & Vista Court—will see partial closure all week during working hours.

The Camden County Department of Public Works maintains over 1,200 miles of county roads along with bridges and dams. Their responsibilities include highway construction projects as well as regular maintenance such as pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, storm drainage upkeep. The department operates out of Lindenwold with personnel available around the clock throughout the year to serve residents.

Camden County Commissioners announce 2026 Summer Concert Series lineup

Camden County’s Board of Commissioners has released details for its popular Summer Parks Concert Series set for 2026. The program offers free concerts by national acts across several local parks throughout the summer months.
