The Camden County Board of Commissioners and Cherry Hill Mayor David Fleisher have begun work on new pickleball courts at John Adler Memorial Park at Challenge Grove. The project aims to add four courts with lighting, more benches, an upgraded parking lot, a new pavilion with a walking path, and other improvements for accessibility and enjoyment.
Commissioner Colleen Bianco Bezich said, “Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country, and is enjoyed by athletes of all ages and skill levels. The Board of Commissioners are proud to support the creation of these new courts at Challenge Grove, which will increase access to the sport for residents throughout Camden County.”
The initiative is currently in its design and permitting stage. Construction is expected to start in summer 2026.
Camden County serves over 500,000 residents across 37 municipalities in southern New Jersey through various public services and facilities such as parks, libraries, nutrition centers, education programs, workforce development initiatives, and public safety measures. These efforts are overseen by a seven-member Board of Commissioners serving staggered three-year terms. More information about Camden County’s community-focused projects can be found on their official website.
