The Camden County Board of Commissioners announced on Apr. 22 the return of the Summer Parks Concert Series for 2026, unveiling a schedule that features a range of musical performances at several county parks.
The concert series is considered an important community event, offering free access to live music and entertainment for residents throughout the summer. It aims to bring people together and enhance local cultural life.
Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said, “The Summer Concert Series has become a staple of a Camden County summer, and this year we have an incredible lineup prepared with something for everyone.” He added, “These concerts allow our residents to see world class performers, for free, right in our local parks. I hope our residents will join us for a show or two this year and enjoy what is sure to be a wonderful summer full of music and community.”
This year’s schedule includes events such as the Sunset Jazz Series at Wiggins Park on Mondays at 8 p.m., featuring artists like Tank and the Bangas, Brian McKnight, Boney James, Kid ‘N Play, Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers among others. The July 4th Freedom Festival will also take place at Wiggins Park with the Commodores performing. Additional series include performances at Haddon Lake Park on Wednesdays and Cooper River Park Jack Curtis Stadium on Thursdays with acts such as Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC in Pop 2000s Tour and Max Weinberg’s Jukebox. Lindenwold Park will host Friday night shows including Suitcase Murphy and Chicago tribute bands; Winslow – New Brooklyn Park will feature Motown tributes and gospel performances.
According to the official website, Camden County advances community welfare through efforts in education, workforce development, public services as well as maintaining facilities including parks that foster well-being. The county supports over 500,000 residents across its 37 municipalities in southern New Jersey through services focused on public safety, health care initiatives, transportation improvements and economic development projects.
Camden County operates under a seven-member Board of Commissioners who serve staggered three-year terms according to its official website.
With this extensive lineup covering various genres from jazz to pop tributes across multiple venues in Camden County’s park system—and all events being free—the commissioners say they hope many residents will participate throughout the season.
