Camden County is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners who serve staggered three-year terms and oversee legislative and executive functions for the county government. The county operates across 37 municipalities in southern New Jersey with Camden as its county seat. The Board is responsible for delivering services such as public safety, health programs, infrastructure maintenance, parks, libraries, nutrition centers, and other community facilities that support more than 500,000 residents (official website; official website). The county works with local, state, and federal partners to bolster community programs and focuses on initiatives that promote economic growth and enhance quality of life through education and workforce development (official website).
