On Wednesday, the Camden County Board of Commissioners and the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services organized the Camden County Local Boards of Health Summit. The event brought together municipal governments and local boards of health from across New Jersey to discuss strategies for improving public health.

Commissioner Virginia Betteridge, who serves as liaison to the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services, said, “This summit reinforces the power of partnership when it comes to protecting the health of our residents. By sharing knowledge and best practices, we can ensure a healthier community not just in Camden County, but throughout New Jersey.”

The summit included presentations on current health trends, tobacco and vaping education, as well as community nutrition.
