Each February, the Camden County Library System organizes a series of workshops, artistic activities, and discussions for both youth and adults in honor of Black History Month. These programs are designed to educate participants about the culture and history of Black Americans.

“Black History Month provides us with the opportunity to celebrate and recognize the impact that Black Americans have had on our society, and their contributions to our communities,” Commissioner Jonathan Young said. “Throughout February, the Camden County Library System offers a wide range of educational, artistic, and social programs for all ages that highlights the Black community and its rich history. I encourage everyone to join us for a month full of learning and honoring Black History Month at the Camden County Library.”

Events this year include craft sessions, drum circles, theater performances, workshops on African American history, scavenger hunts, book discussions, leathercrafting introductions, and collage art projects. Programs will be held at various library branches throughout Camden County during February.

The full schedule is available on the library’s website at www.camdencountylibrary.org. Registration details can also be found online.
