United Way of Gloucester County issued the following announcement.

So proud to see the impact of our wonderful community partners! Check out this special initiative from Glassboro Child Development Centers.

IM4U means be a friend to myself and others! Jim Mayer visited our Preschool IN PERSON this week and the kids were thrilled to meet him FOR REAL instead of through the iPad! (Some of our staff were happy Parrot Heads too – not gonna lie)

As we announced previously, our PreK-4 classroom was selected to pilot the IM4U Learning program in 2022.

IM4U Learning is a play-based, social-emotional learning program that blends music and games with cooperative problem-solving skills for children 4-6 years old.

IM4U Learning was founded by Jim Mayer who is a singer, songwriter, and children’s advocate. Jim is probably best known as the bassist for Jimmy Buffet’s Coral Reefer Band and also as an award-winning songwriter and performer of children’s music.

We feel grateful to have been selected to be the FIRST SCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY to be a part of this important and exclusive pilot program. #im4ulearning

Thank you Jim and Maura for taking time to interact and engage our kids, and to Helen Muscato from the NJ Association for the Education of Young Children for sharing this visit with us.  #njaeyc
