Inspira Health has announced the appointment of Dr. Ankur S. Patel as President of its Living Independently for Elders (LIFE) program, effective May 5, 2025. Dr. Patel brings over ten years of experience in elder care across various settings such as acute care, post-acute care, nursing homes, and the Program for All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
Dr. Patel is recognized for his innovative approaches to enhancing quality of life while improving patient satisfaction and optimizing healthcare costs and efficiencies. Prior to this role, he was Chief Medical Officer at GrayHawk Health, where he focused on delivering appropriate care at optimal times to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

In his new position as President of LIFE, Dr. Patel aims to provide high-quality health services by ensuring clinical, operational, and financial excellence. He previously served as Medical Director for LIFE at Inspira and played a key role in developing the program during its early stages.

His responsibilities include driving innovation within the program, fostering employee engagement, and building partnerships with community and industry stakeholders.
Dr. Patel’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Pharmacy from North Gujarat University in India, a medical degree from St. James School of Medicine in Netherlands Antilles, an MBA from Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, a family medicine residency at University of Alabama Huntsville, and a geriatric fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. He is also an international bestselling author with his book “Age is Just a Number: A Geriatrician’s Secrets to Getting the Most Out of Life.”
