A Message from WT Dept of Public Works Supervisors: 2023 will bring a major change to our curbside yard debris pick up. We will no longer be accepting yard debris in plastic bags. Yard debris will have to be put out in paper bags or cans effective January 1, 2023.

If Gold Medal sees yard debris out in plastic bags it will not be collected. The Public Works office has stickers they issue at no cost to residents to help Gold Medal identify the yard debris cans. Please feel free to stop into the office and pick up some stickers. This change is occurring to help cut costs from major fines the Township was paying to our recycler. Also, as a reminder, you can no longer put plastic bags or film in your curbside recycling. The Township is being fined $50 for every truck load of recycling brought in with even 1 plastic bag in it. The Township has paid out almost $23,000 in fines just from January to October.

Any questions can be directed to Amy Falasca, Recycling Coordinator, at 856-589-0523.
