On February 11, in honor of Valentine's Day, our Girl Time Empowerment group hosted a Sweethearts Afternoon Tea Party at our Glassboro Club location! There were 29 in attendance, both children and adults, most dressed in red, some with pearls and lace, some with pill box hats, coming to enjoy an afternoon of tea, finger food and delightful conversation.
Our guest speaker, Mrs. Kathy White-Thomas, COO of Volunteers of America Delaware Valley and Ms. Elizabeth Glenn, former educator, and superintendent, stopped by to help promote self-esteem and self love with our theme, “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
After the discussion everyone enjoyed a lunch of hors d'oeuvres, finger sandwiches, a selection of teas, lemonade, and desserts. Our sweethearts went home with a Valentine’s Gift Bag filled with Chocolate, perfumes, lotions, candy, and most of all, love!
